Lace has really been a trend for the past 2-3 seasons. So that makes it even better because you should have something lacy by now! If not here are some moderately priced items!

Pixie Surprise
So I promised that I was doing something with my pixie, right! Well I did it. So here is my before photo:
Excuse my mug...it was early, and I was off for the day! And my hair was ugly!
So about 4 hours later, here is the new me:

Let me tell you about.
So no, I’m not deserting my pixie fans. I’m just taking a break. I’ve officially been a pixie for 1 year and 4 months. I just needed a change up. The hair is by Zury, it’s called Indi Remy Wet and Wavy. It wasn’t my first choice for hair(brand), but I had a 20.00 credit at my Beauty Supply and I figured why not use it! The hair is a sew in, and I am attempting to keep it for 7-8 weeks. We’ll see how that goes because I love to feel my scalp.
So far(after 2 days) the hair doesn’t shed, hardly tangles, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. My plan is to wear this for a while and then see how much hair growth I get. If I like my new length I may wear it for a minute, but I will be chopping it back off for a new pixie shortly after!
So for now I have to live vicariously through the other pixies out there.

7. 70′s Fashion
When I think of the 70s, I think of what my mother used to wear in the late 70′s and early 80′s. Midlength, 3/4 sleeve or cap sleeve, possibly pockets at the chest, and a tie or belt at the waist. She was also fond of the bell bottom slack. Which I love…and plaid is coming up in the in the countdown, nothing’s better than plaid bell bottoms!
I love these, flattering on most, if not all figures.

Fall Fashion 2011 Trendwatch: Countdown #8
8. Cobalt Blue
What a hawt(haute/hot) color cobalt blue is!! I have been dying to have a pair of cobalt blue shoes for 2 years now, and still haven’t purchased them. So this season they are mine. Color blocking will certainly still be a hot trend in the fall, with differnt colors of course, and I think Cobalt Blue makes a great foundation for that look, as well as with grey and black, two staples of Fall and Winter. I am already thinking of a smokey eye look using a cobalt blue shadow that I don’t even own yet!
Jessica Simpson Waleo(amazon.com) the shoe ranges from 72.00-89.00. You can of course purchase it on www.jessicasimpsoncollection.com. I am a huge Jessica fan, as you will soon be able to see. I do tend to find better deals(cheaper prices) on her shoes at other outlets, namely any Dillard’s sale, with the extra % off. Also, if you frequent Marshall’s, they have tons of her shoes. I still say that Tony Romo should have kept her, or vice versa.

Pixie Music: Watch the Throne
Jay-Z and Kanye West have been working for about a year on a collaborative CD. Which I can’t wait until it drops, I preordered on July 4th. Its scheduled to drop digitally on August 1. The two have a awesome first track out, called Otis, and if its any indication of what else is on the album, all I can say is WOW.

Fall Fashion 2011 Trendwatch: The Countdown #9
Okay, I know its 105 for the 20+ day in a row, but when Fall gets here and then Winter, promise you will thank me! So, in advance, your welcome! But the coat color to have is Rust. You know the color, a mix between, brown, red, and orange. One of the colors of Fall leaves. Some people are calling the color, Emberglow, but since Coral was so hot all Spring and now Summer, I guess Emberglow, is the Fall name!
If you thrift, don’t forget to check out the men’s section for Rust or Emberglow blazers.

Pixie Music: Beyonce’s 4
Let me just say that I was so looking forward to June 28, to get my hands on this album. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a super fan. But I keep it real, as well. I love all of her albums, but to be honest, B’Day is my least favorite, from beginning to end. I Am..Sasha Fierce was my favorite before June 28! I love 4. It is a great album from start to finish. I of course purchased the Deluxe version on both iTunes and the physical CD.

The song I was Here is going to be the song that she sings when she is old, it is true, but it will have even more meaning, in Beyonce‘s later years. I see major growth in her as an artist as she explores, what it really means to be in love, married, and as it seems from recent interviews, a mother. I can tell as a fan, that she is just present in the interviews, and giving real answers not “prescripted label appropriate” responses, speaking from the heart. I still believe that has something to do with her removal of her father as her manager. But only they know the truth. Cop the CD if you don’t have it.
Fall Fashion 2011 Trendwatch: The Countdown
Pixies, I’ll be previewing the top 10 Fall Fashion Trends that you need(want) to be fashionable in 2011! These items will transition into Winter as well. And if you are like me and live in a milder climate then you need to make sure you buy fabrics that will accomodate that mild climate. So don’t buy the heaviest wool item when you know its only extremely cold 3 weeks total in the winter!
So without further ado, here we go!
10. Polka Dots
I have to admit that me and my mother are the queen of black and white(or cream) polka dots! Love them. I know for a fact that I have more than 3 dresses with this print in my closet, so I don’t have a huge reason to go out shopping for this one.
According to Glamour Magazine, you can dress this trend a number of ways. From scarves(if you are a little afraid of it) or a blouse if you are a little bit more in love with it. You can also do it other color combos besides black and white.
The trend was all over the runways at Fall Fashion Week this past spring, so you know it will be all over the racks when the fall fashions hit your favorite store! Now if you are a thrifter(like to shop in thrift stores, resale, Goodwill, etc), you probably will find something polka dot on your next trip! If you do, pick me one up too!

She’s BAAACCKKK!
I know its been a minute, but I’ve been researching, and searching to figure out what direction I wanted to take with this blog of mine. I’m back on it, and the topics will be a lot more varied, as well as sticking to the initial focus, pixie cuts, hair, fashion, music, and more!
We’ll be kicking it off with a Fall Fashion 2011 countdown. You know all the things that you can shop for now, on sale, at thrift, but you will wear or transition into Fall/Winter 2011-12. Also I have a surprise about my pixie!
